⚠️ Safety, Side Effects & Precautions

• Common side effects: Muscle pain (myalgia), weakness, headache, abdominal discomfort, asthenia, constipation, nausea. 

• Muscle-related risk: Myopathy and rare rhabdomyolysis risk increases with higher doses, older age (>65), renal dysfunction, hypothyroidism, or concurrent use of cyclosporine, lopinavir/ritonavir, gemfibrozil, or other statins. 

• Liver enzyme monitoring: Persistent transaminase elevation possible—baseline and periodic LFTs recommended. Avoid in active liver disease. 

• Drug interactions:
