✅ Product Benefits

  • Efficient high-dose deficiency correction: Each capsule delivers 40,000 IU of cholecalciferol, typically administered once weekly for 7 weeks in adults to rapidly replenish Vitamin D₃ levels.

  • Structured maintenance protocol: After the loading phase, maintenance therapy is recommended at 1,400–2,000 IU/day—or 20,000 IU every 4 weeks—to sustain sufficient serum 25‑hydroxyvitamin D levels.

  • Supports bone and systemic health: Enhances calcium and phosphate absorption essential for bone density, tooth health, and reduces risk of rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis—also supports immune system function.

  • Convenient weekly dosing: More practical and cost‑effective than daily low‑dose regimens, especially beneficial for patients with poor sun exposure or compliance concerns.

  • Highly affordable local production: Priced at approximately ৳ 1.50 per capsule (৳ 15 per strip of 10), making it one of the most economical options in Bangladesh.

ℹ️ Precautions & Safety Notes

  • Risk of hypercalcemia/toxicity: High-dose Vitamin D₃ can lead to elevated serum calcium or phosphate levels. Monitor calcium especially in patients with renal impairment, excessive supplementation, or those on digoxin or thiazide diuretics.

  • Drug interactions: Certain medications such as magnesium-based antacids, digoxin, thiazide diuretics, cholestyramine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, orlistat, corticosteroids may impair Vitamin D₃ absorption or increase requirements.

  • Contraindications: Avoid use in cases of hypervitaminosis D, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, or hypersensitivity to cholecalciferol or excipients. Use with caution in patients with sarcoidosis, granulomatous disorders, lymphoma, or primary hyperparathyroidism.

  • Recommended monitoring: Reassess serum 25‑hydroxyvitamin D levels 3–4 months after starting maintenance therapy to ensure therapeutic goals are met without overdose.

  • Side effects: Typically well tolerated; uncommon reactions may include nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, headache, thirst, polyuria, weight loss, itching, or elevated plasma/urine calcium and phosphate.
